Build the tools behind

Product Designer

UX & Interaction

On-Site (Oakville) · Full-time · Reports to: Head of Design

Mobii builds cloud-native products that power live sports for some of the biggest names in broadcasting: Fox Sports, Warner Bros. Discovery, NASCAR, and IndyCar. Our platform drives real-time content production, dynamic broadcast graphics, interactive streaming experiences, and performance analytics that change how fans engage with live sports and how teams understand it.

We're hiring a product designer at the start of their career who already thinks in UX, not just screens: someone who can take a product ask and reason through the flows, structure, and interactions that make complex live-sports data usable. If you graduated from a strong interaction or product design program (co-op or internship experience a big plus) and you want to design real tools for live sports, keep reading.

This is a launchpad role for an exceptional early-career designer. You'll design UX for real sports and broadcast applications alongside senior designers who will push your thinking, with the room to own more as you prove your judgment.

What You'll Do

  • Design UX for new and existing sports applications: user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
  • Take a product ask and think through the full UX yourself, from structure to interactions.
  • Solve for dense, fast-moving real-time data: making complex information instantly readable under live conditions.
  • Build wireframes, prototypes, and developer-ready specs in Figma that ship without guesswork.
  • Contribute to and help maintain UI systems and components.
  • Partner with developers and product owners, shipping on live-broadcast timelines.
  • Validate decisions through user testing and benchmarking.
  • Assist the Broadcast design team in building interactive components as required
  • Take feedback fast and turn it around without losing momentum.

Who You Are

  • A recent graduate (or up to ~1 to 2 years in) from a strong, execution-focused interaction or product design program. Co-op or internship experience is a major plus.
  • Already thinks in UX: flows, hierarchy, and problem-solving, not just pretty screens.
  • Solid Figma craft (components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping), with a portfolio that shows your process.
  • Strong sense of visual hierarchy, composition, and flow logic.
  • Fast and focused. You manage your time, stay on task, and turn work around quickly.
  • Coachable and proactive. You take direction well, ask sharp questions, and then run with it.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Oakville in a high-pace environment where live events don't wait.

Bonus Points For

  • Co-op or internship in product or UX design.
  • Data-heavy or real-time interface work, even from academic or personal projects.
  • Motion as part of UX (microinteractions and prototyping in Figma).
  • Exposure to design systems (Material Design, Ant Design, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
How to Apply: Use the form below. Student, co-op, and personal projects all count. We want to see how you think — include at least one case study where you walk us through a problem: the directions you explored and why you landed where you did, not just the final screens.

Motion Designer

Broadcast Graphics

On-Site (Oakville) · Full-time · Reports to: Head of Design

Mobii builds cloud-native products that power live sports for some of the biggest names in broadcasting: Fox Sports, Warner Bros. Discovery, NASCAR, and IndyCar. Our platform drives real-time content production, dynamic broadcast graphics, interactive streaming experiences, and performance analytics that change how fans engage with live sports and how teams understand it.

We're hiring a motion designer at the start of their career with serious craft: the kind of person who can take a brand and a brief and turn out broadcast graphics that look stunning on air. If you graduated from a strong animation or motion program (co-op or internship experience a big plus) and you want to make graphics seen by millions of live-sports fans, keep reading.

This is a craft-first role. You'll work alongside senior designers creating the overlays, stat visuals, and branded motion that define how live sports look on screen, with the room to grow your range fast.

This isn't traditional broadcast work. We're doing genuinely new things with live data, motion, and automation, so a big part of the job is inventing storytelling mechanics that go beyond the lower-thirds everyone has seen: motion driven automatically by real-time data, telling the story behind the numbers, not just displaying them.

What You'll Do

  • Design and animate sports overlays, lower-thirds, real-time stat visuals, and branded motion for live broadcast.
  • Invent new data-driven storytelling: use our automation and live data to build motion that goes deeper than traditional broadcast, telling the story behind the numbers, not just showing them.
  • Build broadcast graphics packages: sometimes designing an elevated package from scratch, other times building from a client's existing approved graphics. It depends on the client, so you should be comfortable with both.
  • Produce on-air-ready motion that holds up under live conditions and non-negotiable broadcast timelines.
  • Build real-time, data-driven graphics in Rive so motion responds to live game data. We work in Rive here; if you haven't used it, you'll learn it on the job.
  • Partner with developers and producers to take graphics from concept to broadcast.
  • Help create motion for pitches, marketing, and sizzle reels.
  • Assist the product team with interaction design as required.
  • Take feedback fast and turn it around without losing momentum.

Who You Are

  • A recent graduate (or up to ~1 to 2 years in) from a strong animation, motion, or design program. Co-op or internship experience is a major plus.
  • Genuinely good motion craft already: clean, polished work with a reel that proves it. Strong in After Effects; Rive, Cinema 4D, or Blender a plus.
  • A real visual and graphic designer, not only an animator: you can build a look and a full graphics system, not just move existing assets.
  • Excited by what live data and automation make possible, and keen to push past traditional broadcast graphics into new kinds of storytelling.
  • Strong sense of timing, composition, typography, and brand.

  • Co-op or internship in motion, broadcast, or sports media.
  • 3D modeling or animation (Cinema 4D, Blender).
  • Any exposure to Rive, Lottie, or other real-time and data-driven graphics tools.
  • Genuine sports knowledge or fandom.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast graphics workflows.
How to Apply: Use the form below. Student, co-op, and personal projects all count. We want to see motion that's clean, expressive, and on-brand — include your reel and, where you can, a short note on the brief behind a piece and the choices you made to get there.
