software

motion experience centre

The Motion Experience Centre is a software platform that allows you to synchronise activities
with your PC, analyse your progress and interactively playback your activities allowing you to
relive your experience. Why not get yourself a helmet camera and film your activity, then
watch the video footage together with all your performance data? It brings a new dimension
to having fun, both during and after your activity. View some example videos here

software updates

software updates
You will be able to keep your Motion M01-1 up to date with all the latest firm-
ware updates which will be available for free from the Motion Experience Centre.

This also means that when there are software updates with new and enhanced features for the Motion Experience Centre, these too will be free for you to download.

The OpenStreetMap data that comes on DVD with the purchase of your Motion M01-1 will be able to be updated for free from the Motion Experience Centre. This means that you can download updated map information on any particular area for free from within the software. Then when you are travelling out of internet range, all your maps are up to date in the Motion Experience Centre.

motion playback

motion playback
In the playback section, you get to play your activities and watch in great detail what happened. You simply load the activities you want to watch and click play.

So now you can see your own activity played back in high detail. You can also load previous activities and run them at the same time to compare them. So now you can see what you did differently this week compared to last week.

Or why not load several activities from your friends and sit back and relive the race in high resolution. If you have recorded video using a helmet camera you can synchronise the video to the activity and get live video playback with data overlays.

So, if there is something you want to look at in detail you can examine the video at that point in time and see all your data relating to that moment.
This makes the playback section and excellent training tool.

You can select the maps to show OpenStreetMap or OpenCycleMap data. Alternatively, you can connect to other existing tile server layers by simply adding a new layer.

You can set time and distance split markers and change the colour of individual route lines.

The live marker can be set to represent an intensity of a variable, so it can change from light blue to dark blue to represent low or high speed, or set the colour from light red to dark red to represent heart rate intensity.

You can display customised graph and data overlays.

profile manager

profile manager
This section allows you to enter in your personal information regarding name, surname, date of birth, gender, etc.

You can then enter your weight, height and VO2 Max information, which will be recorded at a particular date, allowing you to maintain a history and track your metrics over time.

activity review

activity review
This section allows you to analyse your data in high detail. You can view graphs on almost every parameter that has been recorded and you can interact...

with the graphs to display detailed information on a particular point in time during an activity. You can also enter information regarding the weather conditions and temperature. Comments can be saved, so you can refer back
to information regarding the activity.

You can save a name to the activity and even add photographs which will be associated with the activity. The next time you synchronise the Motion M01-1
to the Motion Experience Centre the photographs will be copied over to the device and you will be able to view these photo’s on the device.

music manager

music manager
You are able to easily copy music from your computer to the Motion M01-1 through this section of the Motion Experience Centre.

synchronise

synchronise
The Motion M01-1 can be synchronised with the Motion Experience Centre to copy entire profiles and/or activities. This means if you are using a different...

Motion M01-1, you can simply copy your profile and all the resulting activity
data to the Motion M01-1. All your data will be in place and the device will
ready for you to start your favourite activities.

video integration

video integration
Video synchronisation is a feature in the Motion Experience Centre which allows you to synchronise video of your activity with the data recorded on the Motion M01-1.

This means if you have a helmet camera, you can watch a live replay of your mountain biking ride in the playback section with data overlaid on top of the video.

So now you can see how fast you went through different sections of the track and people can now watch the video and see why your heart rate was so high as you dodged tree roots and did some amazing jumps.

As a training tool, this feature is invaluable. Use it while sailing to record such things as your sail setup and crew movements and then you can analyse the regatta at home to see exactly why your speed was low at a particular point in time. By synchronising video to the data, you get to see all things you cannot measure with sensors.

worldwide maps

worldwide OpenStreetMap data
Integrated OpenStreetMap data allows users to display their activity on a detailed map in the playback section.

The mapping data is included on a DVD with your Motion, so all you need to do is select the countries that you want, and you won't need an internet connection to access your detailed map. Regular free updates via Mobii.com mean that your map is never out of date.

OpenStreetMap.org is a global, community-based mapping project with over 350,000 registered contributors world-wide.
